Blackwill to resign

CNN reports: Robert Blackwill, the deputy national security adviser is now resigning. He said that he told Rice about his plans a couple of weeks ago, planning to resign after the election. This might confuse things a bit, since he was one of the possible replacements for Rice if she decided to leave her spot as national security adviser. He was also an important advisor to Bush on the war in Iraq.

It will be interesting to see how things shape up with Bush's Cabinet positions. We keep hearing whispers of who is going and who might stay, but it might be a little while before things really fall into place.
